Chris Hemsworth's profile has been significantly raised since bulking up to play Marvel Comics' Thor in 2011.
But the actor, who recently welcomed daughter India Rose with wife Elsa Pataky, is struggling with his heartthrob status. "It's helped me get a job, sure" he tells the July issue of GQ. "But you hope it's not the only thing that's helped."

To play "a lost soul and a drunk" in this summer's Snow White and the Huntsman, Hemsworth, 28, found himself spinning around in circles before shooting his boozing scenes. "It really shakes everything up, and you feel a bit more alive," he says of twirling. "I actually started spinning in circles before the scenes where I didn't need to be drunk."

Hemsworth -- who models $595 Giorgio Armani khakis, a $25 A|X Armani Exchange tee and $50 Converse sneakers, all while drinking a Budweiser -- tells GQ he witnessed even weirder warm-up rituals on movie sets.

Drew Barrymore Photographs The Hunger Games' Amandla Stenberg, Isabelle Fuhrman

Drew Barrymore is a woman of many talents -- including photography!
In the new issue of V magazine, the actress gets behind the camera for once and tries her hand at the photography Annie Leibovitz and Patrick Demarchelier are so famous for.

Once a child star herself, the 37-year-old, newly married to Will Kopelman and pregnant with their first child, captured young Hollywood's up-and-comers in a playful photo shoot titled, "Drew's Angels."

"Drew told me she liked to shoot happy accidents, and that when a photograph comes out naturally you'll love it," Stenberg, 13, who played Rue in The Hunger Games, told the magazine about getting photography pointers from Barrymore during the shoot.

Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher's Relationship Is "Not Exclusive," Says Source

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher
Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher don't need to define their relationship.
The Ted actress, 28, and her former That '70s Show costar, 34, looked tight as they zoomed around Hollywood on Kutcher's motorcycle June 17. But as a source recently told Us Weekly, the actors -- who were spotted sharing meals several times during the spring and even took a three-day road trip getaway outside L.A. in late April -- are not an official couple.

"They're not exclusive, but they are hanging out and seeing where it's going," a source close to the pair explained.

Kunis and Kutcher are certainly making up for lost time. Though he was married to Demi Moore, 49, for six years, and she was in a longterm relationship with Macaulay Culkin, 31, "they've been hot for each other for years," a second insider said. "It stretches back to when they were friends on their show!"

Jenelle Evans and Gary Head: Arrested For Drug Possession, Domestic Violence?

Jenelle Evans and fiance Gary Head are both in jail, according to reports.
Us Weekly and Teen Mom Talk sources say Gary was arrested for domestic violence, and Jenelle for drug possession, following a heated argument.
During their spat, Gary "hit Jenelle numerous times."
Gary Head and Jenelle Evans
If charged with assault, Gary Head, a Marine, faces serious jail time, and will most likely be dishonorably discharged from military service as well.
If Jenelle Evans is in fact charged with possession of an illegal substance ... no one would be surprised at this point. It's still unconfirmed if she will be.
In April, she accused Gary Head of abusing her, though she didn't press charges, Tweeting later that she didn't want to "jeopardize his career."
By early May, the pair had reconciled. On May 16, they got engaged after Head popped the question to Evans with a diamond sparkler.
They have since called off the engagement, gotten back together at least once, shot down pregnancy rumors and adopted a puppy.
More details to follow on the alleged arrest as the story develops.
UPDATE, 1:20 p.m.: “Gary beat the sh!t out of Jenelle,” a friend of the MTV star told Radar Online. “He strangled her with a bed sheet.”
“When the cops arrived they asked Jenelle what happened, and if she hit him and she told them, 'F**k yeah I did, I hit him back.’”
Jenelle is said to be “really shook up,” over the terrifying incident.
Both have reportedly been charged with assault, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and another prescription drug.

Megan Fox's Pregnant Bikini Bod Gets Kissed by Brian Austin Green During Anniversary Vacay!

Megan Fox, Brian Austin Green
We're not actors, but we're about to earn an Emmy. Here we go. And...action!
Holy cow! Would you look at this lovely, completely unstaged photo of Megan Fox and hubby Brian Austin Green, photographed in a totally spontaneous moment of love during their second wedding anniversary celebration in Hawaii?
Meanwhile, the paparazzi just happen to be standing in the ideal position to capture their good sides! Isn't Hollywood just so totally magical?
And...cut.
So, this is what the married couple and their baby bump looked like when spotted on vacay this past weekend, celebrating for three. At least, we have to assume they were celebrating for three—the hot couple has yet to officially confirm that a baby is on the way, but come on.
The actors cheated to the camera while they sunned themselves in Kona, the same beachy spot where the two got married in 2010. We love the bikini top that Megan's rockin', as well as the very on-trend see-through-buttercream-skirt look that's currently being championed by Rihanna, among other starlets.

We can't wait to see the absolutely unplanned candids these two have lined up for next weekend.

Prosenjit on small screen

After over three decades in the film industry, Tollywood superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee is making his debut on the small screen, as a host in a Bengali reality show based on harmony and understanding among family members.
“Yes, it marks a new innings in my career. I have never interacted with the public in this way and I am loving every moment of it,” Prosenjit said at the launch of the show “Banglar Shera Paribar”.
Asked how he was adapting himself to the two different roles of an actor and a host, the 49-year-old actor said, “Being a fine actor needs a different talent and being a good host of a reality show requires another set of skills.”
Denying that appearing on the small screen will diminish his star appeal, he said, “For shooting of this show, I had to learn many things. I had to understand the format. I realised it is a different ball game.
“But if you ask me why now, I will rather say it would have happened eventually.”
On whether the entry of superstars like Aamir Khan and Salman Khan had goaded Zee Bangla channel to rope in Prosenjit, director of the show Subhankar Chattopadhyay said, “We had been toying with the idea for some time.”
In its quest to find “Bengal's Best Family”, each episode of the show has two families competing and finally one will win the title.

Rendezvous with a modest icon

Ghazal maestro Mehdi Hassan breathed his last on June 13 in Karachi at the Aga Khan Hospital. He was born in undivided India in 1927. Most refer to him as the 'King of Ghazals'. But I say, he was not a king, he was the 'Emperor of Ghazals'.
Born to a family of Kalawant musicians at Luna village, district Jhunjhuna in the Indian State of Rajasthan, he was trained by his father Ustad Azeem Khan and uncle Ustad Ismail Khan who were dhrupad musicians. After partition (1947) they migrated to Pakistan where the family faced severe hardship. Young Mehdi started working in a bicycle shop and later became an auto-mechanic.
His singing abilities, quite naturally, went unrecognised. An unexpected opportunity, however, came his way in 1957 when he was invited to sing for Radio Pakistan. Thereafter there was no looking back for him. By the early 1960s, he was acknowledged as a rising ghazal singer.
It was his mellifluous voice and emotive music that not only catapulted left-wing poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz's well-known poem “Gulo mein rang bhare baad-e-naubahaar chale” to fame but also firmly established Mehdi as a leading artiste in Pakistan.
He sang many popular songs for films, as well as many Pashto, Sindhi, Bengali and Punjabi songs. He recorded “Harano din-er kotha”, which won the hearts of Bengalis.
The Ghazal Emperor's career spanned 50 years. Legendary Indian nightingale Lata Mangeshkar once called his “the voice of God”. Mehdi was an icon who mesmerised music lovers in Pakistan and the subcontinent for decades. He cut back on his performances in the late 1980s due to serious lung and urinary infections. The severity of his illness forced him to give up singing completely by the late 1990s.
In 2010 however, he recorded a duet with Lata Mangeshkar, a long time admirer, which was released in 2011.
An era of ghazal singing came to an end with the sad demise of the legendary songster. The demise of the maestro was an irreparable loss to the world of music and left a void that can never be filled.
Now let me come to my own story of how I came across the legendary singer. It was 1967/68 and political unrest had not yet started in the then East Pakistan. Mehdi Hassan came to Dhaka to record Bengali songs. He was slated to sing songs written by Nayeem Gahar (a noted poet, lyricist, and BBC newscaster and commentator) who happens to be my first cousin.
One day Gahar told me that Mehdi Hassan had come to Dhaka to sing and he was residing in a building near Pak Motor (now Bangla Motor). I could not miss this chance of meeting the icon. The opportunity came at last. It was perhaps 10:30 or 11 am when we went to meet him. He was staying on the first floor of a building that still stands near Concord Tower.
When Gahar knocked, a gentleman smilingly opened the door and warmly greeted him in Urdu. I was standing behind Gahar. Gahar introduced me to Mehdi Hassan. Having heard my nickname 'Badal', the singer was so amused that he began to hum that popular Hindi film song “Dheere dheere aa rey badal”.
Singing these lines, he hugged me as if he had known me for ages. Renowned artiste Shahnaz Rahmatullah (Begum at that time) was quietly sitting there in a red sari.
What attracted me most was that Mehdi Hassan did not have a hint of vanity despite his enormous stature. Wonderstruck, I thought to myself, “Am I dreaming or really talking to the great Emperor of ghazals?”
Gahar told him that I could sing Rabindra Sangeet very well. He seemed pleased to hear this and patted me on the back. There are many artistes all over the world but I have never come across one as unpretentious as Mehdi Hassan. He was a perfect gentleman.
His kind words still ring in my ears. His warm smile I still remember. And I will remember as long as I live. May Allah rest his soul in peace. Finally, I recall the words of famous English poet John Milton: “Death is the golden key that opens the palace of eternity.”

Putin talks Syria, Iran on rare Israel trip

Russian President Vladimir Putin yesterday met Israeli leaders on a rare trip to the Jewish state for discussions that focused on continuing violence in Syria and Iran's disputed nuclear programme.
In statements to the press after their meeting, Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised ties between their two countries, and pledged cooperation on a range of domestic and international issues.
Their talks touched on the situation in Syria, where a bloody uprising has divided the international community, pitting the West against Moscow, which has refused to support sanctions against its Soviet-era ally.
"From the very beginning of the so-called Arab Spring, Russia has been persuading its partners that democratic changes should take place in a civilised manner and without external intervention," Putin said.
Russia is pushing for an international Syria conference and has already discussed the plan with Jordan as well as the European Union, Iran and Iraq.
And it has shown little enthusiasm for regime change, despite multiple international calls for President Bashar al-Assad to step down.
Putin said he had also discussed Iran's nuclear programme with Netanyahu, but gave no details about the talks.
Israel and much of the international community believes Iran's nuclear programme masks a weapons drive, and the United States has led a push for tough sanctions against Tehran.
Israel, which is widely believed to have the Middle East's sole if undeclared nuclear arsenal, has said Iran's programme poses an existential threat and has warned it reserves itself the right to use all means necessary to respond, including military.

Woody Allen's “To Rome with Love” launches LA film fest

The Los Angeles Film Festival kicked off Thursday night with the North American premiere of Woody Allen's "To Rome with Love," an ensemble comedy that is the veteran director's follow-up to last year's successful "Midnight in Paris."
The 76-year-old filmmaker's 2011 tale of romance in the City of Light was Allen's most successful box office performer to date over a long career, earning more than $150 million at worldwide box offices and winning Allen an Oscar for screenwriting.
"To Rome with Love" drew mixed reviews in Europe where it debuted earlier this year, but Allen and the film's distributor, Sony Pictures Classics, are hoping the Los Angeles Film Festival in Hollywood's hometown and the North American release on June 22 will offer a fresh start for the movie.
"If you like the picture, I'm thrilled," Allen told the packed house before the lights went down, then added with his wry sense of humor. "If you hate it and think it was a waste of time coming, don't let me know cause I get depressed easily."
In its 18th year, the Los Angeles Film Festival, which is organized by non-profit group Film Independent continues to lure ever bigger movies and crowds. This year's event from June 14-24 features over 200 films, shorts and videos from 30 countries.
Independent and international filmmakers get the chance to mingle with directors such as William Friedkin ("The Exorcist"), Steven Soderbergh and Allen at panels, screenings and parties.
Making its world premiere on closing night, Steven Soderbergh's "Magic Mike," starring Channing Tatum, is loosely based on the actor's experience as a male stripper.
Between Allen's opening film and Soderbergh's closing night movie, gala screenings followed by star-studded parties will be held for Pixar's summer movie, "Brave," and Fox Searchlight's Sundance favorite "Beasts of the Southern Wild," as well as the Steve Carell-Keira Knightley apocalyptic comedy, "Seeking a Friend for the End of the World."
Guest Director William Friedkin will introduce his new movie, "Killer Joe" starring Matthew McConaughey as a matricidal cowboy. And film composer and frequent Tim Burton collaborator Danny Elfman will lead a conversation about movies and music.
Lesser-known films from independent writers and directors will compete for prizes - feature film and documentary category winners take home a top prize of $15,000 each.
Among this year's feature narrative competition, alienation is explored in movies like Portugal's "All is Well" about two Angolan sisters who immigrate to Lisbon where they struggle on the fringes of society, and "Four" in which a father and daughter find themselves trapped by lies they tell themselves.

Jaya Ahsan touches new heights

Popular star Jaya Ahsan continues to make new strides in her career, capturing both media attention and praise from viewers for her performances. On June 14th, the leading actress of the country was present at the 'maharut' of a new commercial film, where she will star opposite the top favourite of the contemporary silver screen, Shakib Khan. Both the stars were present at the 'mahurat', which was held at Zahir Raihan Color Lab, BFDC.
The upcoming movie, to be directed by Shafiuddin Shafi and produced by Friends Film International, has been titled “Purno Doirgho Prem Kahini”. Jaya said that the project was finalised only 15 to 20 days prior to the event, and shooting is due in August. Shooting will take place in Dhaka and abroad.
Asked about her character in the film, Jaya said the details are still sketchy as work on the script is still on, but added that the movie will be a “sweet love story”. Explaining her decision to work in a commercial film, she said that the people behind the project seemed sincere about making a quality film. She added that she is against being stereotyped in her work and her latest film will give her the chance to play a radically different role. Even if the story requires her to dance, the actress will not step down; and if her efforts help bring positive changes to the Bangladeshi film arena, she will go full steam ahead, said Jaya. She however claimed not to differentiate between commercial and parallel films. Pointing out that she has worked in an array of TV plays and movies through the years, Jaya added that the challenges in acting will continue in all forms and she will focus on producing a high quality film.
The chance to work with the top movie star of the time feels great, says Jaya smilingly, adding that the script required her act opposite a mainstream hero.
Shakib Khan is optimistic about the success of the film and is confident that Joya's presence will add to the attraction of the celluloid work. The storyline is quite different from the run of the mill stories, says Sakib.
On a different note, the actress informed that this was her first time at BFDC and she had the chance to interact with several new actors. However, Jaya Ahsan asserted that her new endeavours do not mean that her talent is confined only to celluloid, she will stay active in TV dramas as well. She has also recently worked on a play called “Na Komola, Na Meherjan”.
Meanwhile, "Chorabali", another of Jaya's silver screen efforts, currently awaits release. Kolkata star Indranil worked opposite her in the film. Jaya has also finished shooting for a Kolkata movie "Aborto". Shooting for "Guerrilla" was a different experience, while viewers will get to see another side of her in "Aborto". In "Chorabali", Jaya will play a journalist, and it's a movie which she claims is completely fresh. None of her past performances will match her new ones, Jaya asserted and that she doesn't want to become 'typed' in the eyes of the audience.
On the other hand, people involved in the movie industry take a positive view of Jaya's decision to work in a commercial film. BFDC managing director Pijush Bandapaddhay, actress Afsana Mimi, Amjad Hossain, Film Directors Association president Mohammad Hannan were present at the ',mahurat' of the new film.
Jaya added that she had received much appreciation on that day, specially from Afsana Mimi.
Jaya is scheduled to visit USA later this month to take part in a Bangla Utshob in New York. Later she will head for London to visit her younger brother, before she returns home.
